Intro
Over the course of six years, I led the UX strategy and product design for Knopman Marks’ custom Learning Management System—a platform used by top-tier U.S. banks to train and certify their finance professionals.
Team
As the lead designer, I partnered closely with stakeholders across leadership, product, and engineering to reimagine the student experience from the ground up.
Together, we turned a legacy LMS into a motivating, modern tool that not only improved student outcomes but helped the business scale 4x in five years.
Goals

Working this closely with users over several years changed how I think about research. The biggest takeaway? Listen beyond the words.
What people say isn’t always what they feel—but tone, hesitation, or even frustration can be just as revealing. Some of our most impactful improvements came not from surveys or usability tests, but from hearing what wasn’t said directly.

With a consistent internal engineering team in place, we developed a lean, dynamic handoff process that prioritized clarity without excess.
Animated references, annotated flows, and real-time working sessions replaced bloated documentation. I partnered directly with the client and engineering leads throughout implementation—clarifying design intent, addressing edge cases on the fly, and ensuring that nothing meaningful got lost in translation.
